Coventry Irish Society is hiring for an Irish Survivors Outreach Worker (Post is subject to continuing grant aid).
Salary: £25,000 – 30 hours per-week (£30,833 pro-rata).
Coventry City Centre
Established in 1993, Coventry Irish Society (CIS) is a Charity providing a wide range of
community health and support services to the Irish community in Coventry.
1. The Coventry Irish Society is looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to
deliver a specialist programme to provide information, support, and advice to
Irish Survivors that enables them to access the forthcoming Mother and Baby
Home Redress Scheme.
The post holder will also support an existing number of Irish Survivors that
previously obtained compensation through the Redress Board but that have
ongoing health and welfare and social support needs.
Irish Survivors are highly vulnerable and therefore the post requires someone with
high awareness and sensitivity to the Survivor’s needs and how to communicate
best with them.
